The album "Bella la vita", sung by Maurizio Fabrizio and Katia Astarita, includes seven songs including some of the best written in the past by Maurizio.
"Almeno tu nell'universo", "I migliori anni della nostra vita", "Acquarello" are proposed by the author in a key and refined with a vaguely Latin, together with unpublished "Che sa di sale", "Profuma l'aria e dolce e tenero è il vento" and "Rosa", the latter being sung in Spanish soundtrack of the movie "Repuestos" set in Guatemala.
The use of two voices, constantly in parallel to Maurizio and Katia, gives the disc a very particular sound, supported by an orchestration deliberately very simple and basic. The seventh song, "Bella la vita", as well as giving the title of this project is the first single outgoing song written by Maurizio in collaboration with Toquinho, sung by him unfairly, but went unnoticed at the time, also stands out for the beauty of the text signed by Guido Morra (who is the author of all the lyrics except "Rosa" and "Almeno tu nell'universo").
Recorded in a studio in Tuscany, is played by Maurizio (guitar and piano) with his friends Gigi Cappellotto on bass and Lele Melotti on drums. You can purchase online the new album by Maurizio Fabrizio and Katia Astarita "Bella la vita" in the iTunes store.
